Kamehameha Schools Maui and the Maui Nui Food Alliance hosted the Maui Nui 2022 Food Summit, Collaboration and Stewardship: Growing Resilience on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus.
More than 100 farmers, ranchers, educators, representatives, public health advocates, government employees, small business owners, and food system leaders from Molokai, Lānaʻi, Maui, and Oʻahu participated in interactive working groups to support the development of a Food and Nutrition Security Plan for Maui County. Participants were asked to summarize the challenges that prevent food security in Maui County and to identify solutions, and where possible, key partners. The results from these discussions can be found here.
